Building Vietnam–Korea partnerships for the sesame value chain

An important milestone was the signing of three memoranda of understanding involving the Korean Sesame and Perilla Association, KOMEGA and Orange Food System, together with the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) and Hung Nguyen Agricultural Products and Food Processing and Crop Propagation Cooperative in Nghệ An.

The agreements focus on developing growing areas, technical transfer, processing, trade promotion and market connections. They open opportunities for Vietnamese cooperatives and businesses to participate more closely in Korea’s agricultural value chains.

The partners shared experience in organising growing areas, setting quality standards, diversifying products and expanding markets. These exchanges offered practical insights for Vietnamese localities and cooperatives, while laying the groundwork for longer-term cooperation.
